The PDF leather pattern of Leather Oni Devil Half-Mask.
Oni (jap. ?) – evil spirits, demons, devils occurring in shint religion and Japanese folklore, identified with diseases, disasters, and misery. They are one of the y?kai – supernatural beings.
They are seemingly similar to humans, but they have three eyes, wide mouths, horns, and claws on their hands and feet. They can fly and fall from the sky to kidnap the soul of an evil person who is just dying. They can have different characters: they can be gentle, malicious, or violent. They are usually presented as half-naked figures with a wild look, dressed in leather.
To make up for the evil spirits, an annual oni-yari ceremony (jap. ?? or ?) is held as a performance.
