Leather Macbook Case PDF & DXF Pattern includes stitching holes marked, all cutting lines and video instructions.
PDF Letter 11 x 8.5 (US) & A4 printable Pattern for leather craft + DXF file (editable vector file) available as well.
The leather template has been designed to use by any level of experience.
There are 3 sizes:
Its pattern prepared only for macbooks or only very slim laptops.

11-12″ : for laptops sizes up to 7.5″ x 11.8″ (19.2 x 30 cm)

13-13.3″ : for laptops sizes up to 8.62″ x 12.36″ (21.9 x 31.4 cm)

15-16″ : for laptop sizes up to 9.8″ x 14.3″ (24.9 x 36.4 cm)

» Tools you need:
– sharp knife
– 1,2-1,5mm hole puncher or pricking irons or awl
– hammer
– 2 needles
– paper tape
– a home printer

» Materials you need for bag:
– about 2.7 / 3.2 / 4.3 sqft (0.25 / 0.3 / 0.4 sq meter) of leather
– 5 oz (2mm) for the whole construction
– Waxed thread (preferable 0,8mm)

The patterns are easy to put together after printing as they have a little scissors to match up. Quick and easy. I love how the patterns are laid out to not waiste paper printing them.

My MacBook is quite old and thicker/heavier than current models. Nevertheless my computer fits into the case, but I don’t care for the strap closure, it looks pretty but is not very secure. I added a pair of snaps (see photo). In addition, there is nothing to stop the computer slipping out of the top of the case and I may add some kind of a latching hand-strap arrangement for travel use. As usual, the pattern is perfect and all parts go together “like a glove”.

FAQ

Will I receive the same product that I see in the picture?

Of course! You will receive exactly the same pattern product as shown in the picture. Things shown in the pictures are designed, sewn and tested by us, so you can be 100% sure that everything will work. Of course the color and choice of shells for your product depends only on you 🙂

Do I get instructions with the pattern?

Each pattern has a video tutorial with step by step instructions on Creative Awl Youtube channel. You can check how easy things are before the purchase 🙂

Are you sure I can sew this by myself?

Our main motto when designing a product is to make sure that even the biggest and most advanced project can be sewn by a complete amateur. Our customers have more than once chosen the most advanced designs as their first products – they turned out great! You can see their work on our facebook group. Maybe you will share it with us soon?

How will I receive the order?

Immediately after placing the order you will see the page with download links, you will also receive them in the confirmation email (also check your spam/notifications folder). You can also download them at any time from your account on the site. The validity of the links never expires.

Can I sell things based on yours pattern?

Of course! You can sell items based on a given pattern. There are no restrictions here. Of course distributing the pattern to third parties is forbidden and Creative Awl has all the rights.

What tools do I need?

Very basic, which you can find in most stores: ruler, knife (like for wallpaper), two needles. That’s pretty much all you need to get started!
