I built this from the pattern. It is a great looking bag and quite functional. My wife likes it as a purse too. The pattern was easy to use and the youtube videos on assembly for both the bag and the strap were excellent. I didn’t have any 7 oz leather and substituted 5/6oz leather for the bag body and it worked out great.
Tip: For the short part of the strap pattern it is just a bit longer than US letter paper when printed out at 100%. To create the printed pattern I just printed two copies of the same page; one favoring top and one favoring the bottom of the short strap. Then cut each and tapped them together to create a perfect to scale pattern.
